About The Position
Jack Binion's Steakhouse offers an intimate, fine-dining atmosphere featuring prime-cut beef, large sides, and desserts. The Host welcomes and seats guests and receives and records payment of restaurant guest checks. The role provides friendly, excellent service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience.
- Ability to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to stand and walk, and move easily around the entire property for an entire shift.
- Physical mobility, with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs.; push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance while performing duties in varying work areas, including confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to work in areas with dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds, and differing air quality.
- Well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Seat guests in the restaurant.
- Acknowledge, greet, and converse with customers.
- Respond to visual and oral signals.
- Address customer concerns and questions.
- Answer phones and assist guests with chairs while seating them.
- Provide friendly, excellent service.
- Receive and record payment of restaurant guest checks.
