About The Position

The Host ensures that members and guests receive a warm, genuine welcome and are seated efficiently and comfortably. The role manages dining room flow, reservations, and communication between service areas while maintaining an inviting atmosphere. The Host also assists with takeout orders and supports the service team as needed to provide seamless hospitality.

Requirements

• Warm, welcoming communication style with a polished, professional presence and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm during high-volume dining periods.
• Genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences and engaging positively with guests.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• POS system experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly and professionally, maintaining a welcoming presence at the host stand and throughout dining areas.
• Assist with reservations, seating requests, wait times, and accommodations, and anticipate guest needs.
• Manage reservations and table flow, ensuring the dining room is inspected, prepared, and paced effectively for service.
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and leadership to support smooth seating, section rotation, and service execution.
• Take and enter to-go orders accurately in the POS system and ensure orders are assembled, checked, and delivered with care.
• Support opening, reset, and closing procedures, clear tables, and maintain a clean, polished environment.
• Communicate member preferences, concerns, and feedback promptly and respectfully to leadership.
• Uphold food safety standards, cleanliness, and professionalism, addressing spills, breakage, or disruptions discreetly.
• Participate in staff meetings, pre-service huddles, and training sessions to reinforce service and safety standards.
