About The Position

The Host supports the Waterside Holiday Pop-Up Bar by welcoming and assisting guests, coordinating seating, and helping create a festive, memorable experience. The role includes wearing holiday-themed costumes, entertaining guests, spreading holiday cheer, and being available for photo opportunities. Hosts may also answer phones, take messages and reservations, maintain the wait list, and occasionally bus tables to expedite seating.

Requirements

At least one year of customer service and/or hosting experience.
Fluent English; other languages are preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and third parties in a way that reflects positively on the venue, brand, and company.
Reading and writing abilities, including recording and reviewing reservations and table assignment information.
Ability to read, review, and understand seating charts.
Basic mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to handle objects, including food and utensils, speak over and operate phones.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel.
Ability to remain at the venue entrance or exit for long periods and move safely and efficiently throughout the facility.

Nice To Haves

Occasionally bus tables when needed to expedite seating of waiting guests.
Anticipate the needs of scheduled special parties.
