About The Position

The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, a historic landmark in downtown Seattle, is seeking a Full-Time Host for its iconic Founder's Club. This role serves as an ambassador for the exceptional service and cocktail crafting that define the speakeasy experience. As the first point of contact for esteemed guests, the Host is responsible for providing outstanding service and ensuring a warm and welcoming cocktail experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Requirements

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Must hold valid authorization to work in the USA
• Food Handlers Card and MAST permit required

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant
• Manage the reservation system, taking guest bookings and accurately recording details
• Seat guests promptly and appropriately, considering special requests and preferences
• Communicate with guests regarding wait times, menu information, and restaurant promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station, ensuring menus and promotional materials are up to date
• Collaborate with the bar team to ensure smooth seating and efficient table turnover
• Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly, escalating issues when necessary
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and restaurant policies
• Maintaining knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
