About The Position

River City Casino & Hotel is hiring a Host/Receptionist for its Speakeasy. The role welcomes and engages guests in a warm, professional, and energetic manner while representing the venue’s theme, culture, and guest experience standards. The Host/Receptionist helps create a memorable environment through conversation, personality, and attentive service; assists with seating, reservations, special events, and VIP experiences; and stays informed about promotions, featured offerings, and upcoming events. The role may also involve appearing in promotional photos and videos, monitoring guests’ alcohol consumption, promoting casino events and programs, and resolving service problems according to guidelines.

The position pays $18 per hour and is scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 6 PM to 2 AM. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Must count money and change correctly.
• Must be able to read and write legibly and understand and speak English.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace in an often crowded and noisy environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, restaurant, lounge, or customer service experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Experience creating social media content, promoting events, or serving as a brand representative.

Responsibilities

• Participate in photos, videos, and promotional content when requested.
• Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
• Promote casino events and programs.
• Resolve service problems according to guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
