About The Position

Arbor Lodging is a hotel investment and management company with hotels throughout the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The Bartender greets guests, learns their preferences, answers questions, recommends menu items, and prepares and serves beverages and food. The role also involves upselling items, creating recipes, using proper equipment, and completing basic cleaning duties. The bartender helps create an excellent guest experience by keeping the bar organized, stocked, and clean.

Requirements

Comply with all state food and beverage regulations, including alcohol training and a current certificate.
Have proven work experience as a bartender.
Have excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
Have computer literacy.
Have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in a second language.

Responsibilities

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and serve tables as needed.
Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations.
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
Plan and present the bar menu.
Check customers' identification to confirm they meet the legal drinking age.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
Keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
Upsell items, create recipes, use proper equipment, and handle basic cleaning duties.
