About The Position

Arbor Lodging is hiring a full-time Bartender. The role involves welcoming guests, learning their preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items, and preparing and serving beverages and food. The bartender also upsells items, creates recipes, uses appropriate equipment, and handles basic cleaning duties. The position supports a positive guest experience by maintaining an organized, clean, and well-stocked bar.

Requirements

• Comply with state food and beverage regulations, including alcohol training and a current certificate.
• Have proven work experience as a bartender.
• Have excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
• Have computer literacy.
• Have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in a second language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and serve tables as needed.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present the bar menu.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm that they meet the legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest-focused and foster an excellent guest experience.
• Keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
