About The Position

Chevre Coconut Grove is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Host/Hostess to work weekends. As the first point of contact for guests, the Host/Hostess sets the tone for their experience by greeting them warmly, managing reservations and seating, and helping service run smoothly. This role suits someone who enjoys a dynamic, high-energy environment and delivering exceptional customer service.

The position requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee must be able to stand for the duration of shifts and lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed. Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Host/Hostess in an upscale or high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to multitask.
• Professional, polished, and confident presence.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable work ethic.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for the duration of shifts and lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing OpenTable or a similar reservation system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable, Seven Rooms, or a similar system, and anticipate guest needs such as allergies or special requests.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and introduce guests to their server.
• Keep the host stand and entrance area pristine.
• Answer phone calls courteously and manage inquiries and reservations.
