About The Position

Chevre Coconut Grove is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Host/Hostess to work weekends. As the first point of contact for guests, the Host/Hostess sets the tone for their experience by providing a warm welcome, managing reservations and seating, and helping ensure service runs smoothly. The role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-energy environment and enjoys delivering exceptional customer service.

The position requires standing for the duration of shifts and may involve lifting, moving, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Host/Hostess in an upscale or high-volume restaurant.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to multitask.
• Professional, polished, and confident presence.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable work ethic.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for the duration of shifts and lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing OpenTable or a similar reservation system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable or Seven Rooms, anticipating guest needs such as allergies or special requests.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and introduce them to their server.
• Maintain the pristine appearance of the host stand and entrance area.
• Handle phone calls with excellent etiquette and manage inquiries and reservations.
