About The Position

The Dishwasher helps maintain a clean and sanitary restaurant by cleaning and sanitizing dishware, kitchen utensils, and work areas to company standards. The role also supports kitchen operations through assigned preparation, opening and closing, and beautification duties. The work takes place in a damp, high-temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors, and involves physical activity and safe handling of hot items and sharp utensils.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Ability to reach, bend, and stoop.
• Ability to frequently immerse hands in water diluted with chemical solutions.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times per shift and lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, and freezers.
• Ability to work in a damp, high-temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors.
• Ability to work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans.
• Ability to work safely with sharp knives and utensils.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s policies and Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Wash and provide clean, sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to Flanigan’s sanitation policies.
• Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
• Maintain kitchen-area cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, and beautification duties.
• Prepare and maintain the dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing.
• Support fellow employees as needed.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s policies and Florida statutes.
