About The Position
The Host/Hostess is the first impression and point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. The role welcomes guests, manages reservations and waitlists, provides hotel information, seats guests, and helps maintain smooth dining room flow during service. This is a full-time position with first- and second-shift availability at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, Texas. Pay is $18 per hour.
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing personality and enjoyment of smiling and talking with people.
- Food Safety Certification and Texas Alcohol Beverage Certification are required within 30 days of starting and must be renewed as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Prior restaurant Host/Hostess experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide a warm, sincere first impression.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus and information.
- Receive, confirm, and manage reservations; provide approximate wait times; and manage seating charts using an online table and reservations system.
- Provide information and knowledge about hotel amenities.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant entrance and host stand area.
