About The Position

The Host/Hostess at Ember Latin Steakhouse is the first impression and point of contact for restaurant guests. The role welcomes guests, manages reservations and waitlists, provides hotel information, seats guests, and supports smooth dining room flow during service. This is a full-time position with first- and second-shift availability, paying $18 per hour. The property is Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, Texas, a private hotel and conference center closed to the public.

Requirements

Friendly and outgoing personality; enjoys smiling and talking to people.
Food Safety Certification and Texas Alcohol Beverage Certification required within 30 days of starting and must be re-certified as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior restaurant Host/Hostess experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide a warm and sincere first impression.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus and information.
Receive, confirm, and manage reservations; provide approximate wait times; and manage seating charts using an online table and reservations system.
Provide information about hotel amenities.
Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant entry and Host stand area.
