About The Position

Tripoli Country Club is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Hostess to serve as the first and last impression for our members and guests. The Hostess is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and wait lists, coordinating seating arrangements, and assisting the service team to ensure an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, maintains a positive attitude, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to move throughout the dining room and club facilities efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all members and guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure.
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
  • Answer questions regarding dining options, events, and club amenities.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and uphold Tripoli Country Club's service standards.
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and wait lists efficiently.
  • Coordinate table assignments to maximize seating capacity while maintaining service quality.
  • Communicate guest counts and seating needs with servers and management.
  • Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between guests, servers, bartenders, and management.
  • Notify servers promptly when guests are seated.
  • Assist with special requests, celebrations, and member preferences.
  • Support the Food & Beverage team during busy service periods.
  • Ensure the host stand remains clean, organized, and professional.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of menus and reservation materials.
  • Monitor the dining room entrance and lobby area for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Assist with resetting tables when necessary.
  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally.
  • Take dining reservations accurately.
  • Assist with event sign-ups and member inquiries.
  • Maintain reservation books and seating charts.
