About The Position
Geneva General Hospital is seeking Hostesses/Hosts to join the Nutritional Services team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy assisting others, providing excellent customer service, and working in a dynamic healthcare setting. The position focuses on ensuring patients receive the correct meals, accurate menus, and attentive service tailored to their physician-prescribed diets. Limited part-time openings are available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age to apply.
- Computer literacy is required.
Nice To Haves
- High School education preferred.
- Coursework in Nutrition or Diet Therapy is a plus.
- Previous hospital food service or diet office experience is preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily menu selections according to their physician-prescribed diet.
- Deliver and collect meal trays.
- Communicate patient needs to the production team.
- Work closely with nursing staff to address patients' food service needs.
- Monitor and maintain supplies on assigned units.
- Prepare supply orders and deliver supplies to units.
- Complete required documentation and daily assignments.
- Follow safe and sanitary food-handling practices, including HACCP standards.
- Maintain assigned areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
