About The Position

SSP America is seeking a friendly and energetic Host/Hostess to work at its restaurants throughout Boston Logan International Airport. As the first point of contact for guests, the Host/Hostess welcomes guests and helps create an exceptional dining experience in a fast-paced environment. The role is full-time, pays $21.50 per hour, and requires weekend availability. The posting lists comprehensive benefits and free employee parking.

Requirements

Six months of experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or food service.
Verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
Experience handling customer-service problems.
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
Basic mathematical skills for operating a cash register, making change, totaling guest checks, counting the bank, and preparing cash drops.
Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests courteously and professionally and escort them to their tables.
Manage the seating chart and coordinate table assignments to support smooth service flow.
Assist guests with children and special needs as required.
Present menus, answer questions, and offer suggestions about food and service.
Inform servers and management of guests’ special needs or potential problems.
Clear and reset counters or tables at the conclusion of each course.
Ensure complete guest satisfaction.
Thank guests as they leave and ensure they had a positive experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.
