About The Position
The Host/Hostess supervises wait staff in preparing the dining room for meals, serving residents and guests, and servicing the dining room after meals. The role supports made-to-order dining featuring seasonal and regional menus, signature dishes, and daily specials. The position is part-time and scheduled Sunday and Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The posting notes that there are no late nights.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- First aid and CPR certified.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate seating residents and initiate dining services by presenting menus and specials, answering questions, and making suggestions about food and services while minimizing backups at the restaurant entrance.
- Maintain the daily menu board.
- Assist staff in delivering all menu items to residents and guests.
- Ensure the dining room is properly cleaned, set up, and secured at the end of each workday.
- Supervise wait staff in preparing the dining room for meals, serving meals, and servicing the dining room after meals.
