About The Position

BLVD Kitchen & Bar is seeking a part-time Host/Hostess. This is an hourly-paid role with workdays and hours varying according to business hours and job requirements. The business operates seven days a week, with hours that may begin as early as 9 AM and end as late as 2 AM, depending on the work required.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills when interacting with management, servers, team members, and guests.
• Basic reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multitask.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
• Ability to walk, stand, carry, and lift continuously throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Check in all employees and highlight them in the OpenTable system.
• Answer phones, take reservations, and takeout orders.
• Keep menus clean and organized.
• Greet, check in, and seat guests.
• Print special OpenTable chits with instructions and hand them to servers when they check in.
• Review reservations and map out the plan for the shift.
• Use table software to capture important guest information.
• Coordinate with the floor manager to ensure appropriate wait times.
• Keep restrooms and the host stand clean, stocked, and organized.
• Interact with guests to support a positive dining experience.
