About The Position

Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch is hiring a part-time Host/Hostess for Barrel House Bistro. The role welcomes and seats guests, supports dining room operations, maintains reservations, and helps ensure service areas are clean and properly prepared. No experience is necessary; training is provided. The position requires regular and reliable attendance and an outgoing, friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly greeting and escort them to their assigned tables.
• Control the flow of work by seating guests according to station rotation, maintaining guest lists, and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
• Assign opening and/or closing side duties, supervise side work, and ensure station setup lists are completed before service staff depart.
• Maintain the reservation book, answer incoming telephone calls, and record reservations and guest requests.
• Remain knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
• Maintain standards of appearance and cleanliness in service areas.
• Remain visible and accessible to guests, staff, and management on the dining room floor.
• Check tables before service to ensure they are properly set.
• Assist with side work, bussing tables, and taking cocktail orders as needed.
• Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
