About The Position

The Host(ess) welcomes guests to the steakhouse, manages seating and reservations, and helps maintain efficient, courteous restaurant operations. The role includes communicating with servers, informing guests of wait times, explaining daily features, and addressing guest complaints. The Host(ess) also keeps the work area clean and works collaboratively with servers, barbacks, and other casino personnel. Necessary training will be provided.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate a POS system.
• Must be able to obtain RAMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with a verbal greeting and eye contact.
• Communicate with servers and notify them when a table in their section has been seated.
• Answer telephones and take reservations when necessary.
• Verify reservations before seating guests, if required.
• Advise guests of waiting times and recommend beverage outlets.
• Seat guests according to the established rotation procedure and explain daily features.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve them quickly and courteously.
• Keep the work area neat and clean in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Health standards.
• Work as a team member with servers, barbacks, and other casino personnel to ensure efficient operations.
