About The Position

Chestnut Mountain Resort is seeking a hands-on Hospitality Manager to lead front-of-house restaurant operations, bar service, and beverage service for weddings and special events. The role combines team leadership and day-to-day operational accountability with direct participation in guest service. The manager is expected to be visible on the floor, particularly during peak dining periods, busy weekends, holidays, ski season, and major events, balancing administrative work with active service leadership. The role is responsible for building a capable team, delivering consistent hospitality standards, and strengthening beverage performance. Success is measured by staffing and training consistency, guest service execution, beverage cost and inventory accuracy, and reliable wedding bar delivery. Chestnut Mountain Resort is located near Galena, Illinois, overlooking the Mississippi River, and offers a hospitality environment spanning dining, recreation, weddings, and special events.
