About The Position

The Hospitality Attendant welcomes guests in the concierge lounge, serves as a liaison between guests and hotel departments, and provides information about hotel and local services and attractions. The role also includes suggestively selling hotel amenities and services and keeping the concierge lounge clean and orderly throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Proven customer service skills, including resourcefulness and creativity.
• Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and protect staff and guest confidentiality.
• Ability to focus on tasks and complete assignments on time despite frequent interruptions.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment, including prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to use hands and fingers for keyboarding, typing, writing, using a mouse or trackpad, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed.
• Visual ability to read computer screens and printed materials, including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation for certain roles.
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings and use a phone and/or headset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in the concierge lounge within two minutes of arrival.
• Make reservations and follow up on special requests by coordinating between guests and hotel departments.
• Maintain information about hotel and local services and attractions, recommend options to guests, and suggestively sell hotel amenities and services.
• Clean and maintain the concierge lounge throughout the shift, including picking up dirty dishes and glasses and cleaning the kitchenette, floors, furniture, and surfaces.
