About The Position

This contract, on-site position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient care within the Medical Practice industry. As a Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in managing patient care from admission through discharge, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient. In this associate-level role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, managing complex medical conditions, and coordinating with specialists as needed. You will work in a dynamic hospital environment where your clinical expertise and dedication to patient-centered care will directly contribute to improving health outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Associate-level clinical experience in hospital medicine
  • Active medical license in good standing
  • DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Must be board-certified
  • ACLS and BLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in locum tenens or contract-based practice is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care as a Hospitalist
  • Admit, evaluate, and manage patients with acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Coordinate care with specialists and multidisciplinary teams
  • Perform patient rounds and monitor clinical progress
  • Manage transitions of care and discharge planning
  • Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent interventions
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and quality standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings
