About The Position
This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to deliver high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will provide immediate medical attention to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries, working alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient safety, timely diagnosis, and effective treatment outcomes in urgent care settings.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Associate-level experience in Emergency Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Willingness to work on-site in Florence
- Availability for contract-based scheduling
- Level II Trauma
- Must be comfortable with all emergency medicine procedures
- CSR and DEA required
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate assessment and treatment for emergency patients
- Diagnose and manage acute medical conditions and injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging
- Perform emergency medical procedures as required
- Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals or admissions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and support staff
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Participate in shift handovers and team briefings
- Respond to urgent and critical care situations promptly
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines
