About The Position

This is a contract, on-site position at the Associate experience level, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled neurologist to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinical environment. As a Locum Neurology Physician, you will deliver comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for patients with neurological disorders, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly contribute to accurate diagnoses, effective treatment plans, and improved patient outcomes across a diverse patient population.

Requirements

  • MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Associate-level clinical experience in neurology
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
  • Experience interpreting neurological diagnostic tests
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a locum clinical environment
  • Current DEA registration and compliance with continuing medical education
  • ACLS, BLS, and DEA required

  • Epilepsy experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with neurological conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations and assessments
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, MRIs, and CT scans
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Prescribe and monitor medications and therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists on patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
  • Provide patient education regarding neurological conditions and treatments
  • Participate in clinical consultations and case reviews
  • Ensure compliance with medical regulations and practice standards
  • Manage acute and chronic neurological disorders effectively
  • Coordinate referrals for specialized testing or procedures as needed
  • Perform EMGs, read EEGs, administer Botox if needed, and see new patients and follow ups
