Hospital Supply Chain Technician
About The Position
The Supply Chain Technician Advanced works closely with Supply Chain Associates and assists with training and monitoring daily work assignments. The role supports the Supervisors of Supply & Logistics and the Manager of Distribution with task management, as well as maintaining Par cleanliness and organization. The technician helps ensure scheduled assignments are completed without interrupting patient care, keeps equipment ready for use, oversees medical supply and equipment movement, and monitors Par locations for proper organization and product expiration. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, Monday-through-Friday day-shift position at Saint Francis Hospital.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of Supply Chain or Storeroom experience.
- Ability to email and communicate in a timely manner.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of customer service-related experience preferred.
- 1+ years of experience working in a hospital environment is a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of how to read a packing slip or invoice preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize assigned duties to complete scheduled assignments and avoid interruption to patient care.
- Maintain handhelds, supply carts, printers, phones, and other equipment in working order, and ensure transactions are properly accounted for.
- Escalate concerns or issues to Supervisors in a timely manner for immediate resolution.
- Oversee the movement of medical supplies and equipment.
- Monitor and audit Par locations to ensure they are in proper order and contain no expired products.
- Promptly deliver time-sensitive and refrigerated receipts within the indicated expiration time windows.
- Assist with training Supply Chain Associates and monitor work assignments for daily completion.
- Support the Supervisors of Supply & Logistics and the Manager of Distribution with task management and Par cleanliness and organization.
