About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company to patients. The position offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. Travel to additional sites may be needed. Flexibility to work overtime is required as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least one year of experience as a phlebotomist.
When work experience is not provided, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
