About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Ascension St. Mary's in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will perform skilled specimen collections and provide exceptional customer service as a representative of the company. The position offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. and end times between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The role also requires working every other weekend and holiday.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least six months of phlebotomy experience.
If substituting certification or training for work experience, the credential or program must be from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
