About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's in Mequon, Wisconsin. The role involves providing skilled specimen collection and exceptional customer service, and serving as a representative of the company. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with rotating days off, every-other-weekend rotation, and rotating holidays. The position follows a two-week rotation: a three-day work week in Week 1 and a four-day work week in Week 2. Travel to additional sites may be required. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
If qualifying in lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification, completed phlebotomy training program, or six months or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
