About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's in Mequon, Wisconsin. The role involves providing customer service, performing specimen collections, and representing Labcorp to patients. The position offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with rotating days off, every-other-weekend rotation, and rotating holidays. The schedule alternates between a three-day work week and a four-day work week.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or six months or more of phlebotomy experience.
If substituting for work experience, phlebotomy certification or training must be from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
