About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Ascension St. Mary's in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role performs skilled specimen collection, provides exceptional customer service, and represents Labcorp to patients. The position offers opportunities for growth and continued development within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. and end times between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The role also requires working every other weekend and holiday. Travel to additional sites may be needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
If work experience is not available, phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program must be from an accredited agency.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or six months or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
