About The Position

The Hospital Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning clinical and non-clinical areas of the facility in accordance with departmental and hospital policies. The role also includes other duties assigned by a supervisor. The housekeeper must follow safety and sanitation policies; properly store, handle, and dispose of regulated medical waste (RMW), hazardous materials, solid waste, and linen; maintain Environmental Services uniform and personal appearance standards; and report hazards and unsafe work conditions.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• One or more years of healthcare experience is preferred.
• One or more years of housekeeping or service-related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean clinical and non-clinical areas of the facility according to departmental and hospital policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies.
• Follow requirements for storage, handling, and disposal of regulated medical waste, hazardous materials, solid waste, and linen.
• Maintain Environmental Services uniform and personal appearance standards.
• Report hazards and unsafe work conditions.
