About The Position

Xanitos is hiring full-time and part-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for first- and second-shift positions at Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The role is based at a healthcare campus and may involve working in any location on the client’s premises. Housekeepers clean and maintain facilities in an orderly condition. The positions include weekends and holidays. Qualified candidates who attend the virtual hiring event may receive an immediate job offer.

The listed pay is $16.00 per hour. Available shifts are 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent. Janitorial-industry and medical-cleaning experience are a plus. A post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test are required.

The work involves standing and walking for extended periods; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds; and possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment. The environment regularly includes fumes or airborne particles, occasionally includes work near moving mechanical parts, and is usually quiet.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent.
• Pass a post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet the described physical demands, including standing, walking, handling and reaching, and frequently climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to meet the role’s vision requirements, with or without corrective lenses.
• Ability to work in an environment with possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Polish metalwork.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
• Maintain healthcare-campus facilities or locations in an orderly condition.
