About The Position

Xanitos is hiring full-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for the second shift at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role may be performed at any location on client premises and involves cleaning and maintaining facilities in an orderly condition on a health care campus. Responsibilities may vary by account according to business needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The listed second-shift hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with rotational weekends. The hourly pay rate is $16.00, with a $2.25 shift differential and a $500 sign-on bonus. Qualified candidates may receive immediate offers. Xanitos provides hospital housekeeping and related services, and uses its patented XRO System for cleaning patient rooms. The company describes its service goals as improving cleaning quality, increasing HCHAPS scores, reducing the risk of healthcare-associated infections, lowering bed turnaround time, and reducing costs. Successful applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they request and are granted a medical or religious exemption. Post-offer medical screening, background screening, and a drug test are required. The physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds, and possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment. The work environment regularly includes exposure to fumes or airborne particles and occasional work near moving mechanical parts; noise is usually quiet.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment unless a medical or religious exemption is requested and granted.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform the listed physical tasks, including reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Responsibilities

Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
