About The Position
Serenity Hospice is seeking unpaid volunteers in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, to support patients, families, and staff. Volunteers may provide patient companionship, make support calls to family members, assist with bereavement support, contribute to creative projects, or help with office tasks. Volunteer hours are flexible and tailored to the volunteer’s availability. Serenity Hospice provides ongoing training and support, and reimburses mileage for travel related to volunteer duties. The position is based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation to hospice patients.
- Make support calls and offer updates to family members.
- Support families as they navigate grief.
- Participate in creative projects such as quilting and knitting.
- Assist staff with mailings, filing, and other clerical duties.
