About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Green Township, Delhi, Cheviot, Harrison, Ohio, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Care is delivered in clients’ homes, where veterinarians help families through end-of-life decisions and goodbyes with dignity, kindness, and compassion. The role offers a slower-paced practice with only a few appointments per day and no double-booking. Veterinarians practice independently on the road, with support from thoughtful onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and experienced colleagues. Scheduling options range from two days per week to full time, including self-managed scheduling. Compensation is guaranteed and varies by schedule, with quarterly bonus opportunities for the listed full-time options. The position does not require a non-compete agreement.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 90 pounds with assistance.
Complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before the start date.

Responsibilities
