About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Cleveland, Chagrin, Parma, Lakewood, Mentor, Ohio, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian visits pets at home, giving families time to ask questions and say goodbye with dignity and peace. The role offers independent mobile practice with onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and support from experienced colleagues. Schedules are self-managed and range from two to five days per week, with full-time and part-time options. Compensation depends on the schedule: five-day full-time roles offer a $105,000 base salary plus quarterly bonus opportunities; four-day full-time roles start at $90,000 plus quarterly bonus opportunities; and two- and three-day or self-managed part-time schedules receive prorated compensation. The posting states that full-time compensation ranges from $50,000 to $135,000, depending on schedule. Veterinarians choose four weekend days per month rather than working a fixed weekend rotation. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 90 pounds with assistance.
Complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before the start date.
