About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Jacksonville & Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice medicine without the typical constraints of a traditional veterinary clinic, such as waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, or corporate production dashboards. The focus is on providing compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, and importantly, does not utilize non-compete contracts, allowing veterinarians career freedom. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking a less demanding pace than general or emergency practice, doctors returning to work after a break, or those needing a flexible schedule to accommodate family life.

Requirements

DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
Weekend Availability (Rotational)
Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted

Responsibilities
