•Onsite

About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Tonawanda, Hamburg, Lancaster, Lockport, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Care is delivered in clients’ homes, where veterinarians help families navigate end-of-life decisions and say goodbye with dignity and peace. The role offers independent mobile practice, a few appointments per day, and time to listen, explain, and support families without the pace of a traditional clinic. Veterinarians receive onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and support from experienced colleagues. Schedule options range from two days per week to five-day full-time work. Four- and five-day full-time schedules include guaranteed salary and quarterly bonus opportunities. Two- and three-day schedules offer prorated compensation, including self-managed DVM Flex-Scheduling options. Guaranteed compensation ranges from $45,000 to $125,000 depending on schedule. Veterinarians choose four weekend days per month rather than following a fixed weekend rotation. The company does not require a non-compete agreement.
