About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and families in Kingwood, Atascocita, Humble, Aldine, Sheldon, Texas, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Care is delivered in pets’ homes, where veterinarians support families through end-of-life decisions and help pets experience gentle, dignified goodbyes. The role offers a slower-paced alternative to traditional clinic work, with a few appointments per day and time to listen, explain options, and honor each pet’s story. Veterinarians practice independently in a mobile setting with support from the team, including thoughtful onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and access to experienced colleagues. Schedule options range from two to five days per week, with full-time and self-managed part-time options. Weekend days are selected by the veterinarian: four weekend days per month, scheduled at their discretion. Compensation is guaranteed and ranges from $65,000 to $155,000 depending on schedule, with quarterly bonus opportunities. The employer does not require a non-compete agreement.
