About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a hospice liaison to educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services and develop referral relationships in the Cumberland County territory. The role involves generating leads, coordinating patient admissions, assessing patient needs through on-site visits, maintaining referral and interaction records in a CRM, and meeting admissions, product, payor-mix, and account goals. The position requires travel of 50% or more within the assigned territory. Salary is $80,000–$95,000, with bonus potential.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related business development or outreach role.
• Reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and liability insurance.
• Travel 50% or more within the assigned territory.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
• Experience in outside sales or business development in the healthcare industry.
• Experience cold calling customers in pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospitals, home health, hospice, or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices, to generate leads.
• Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining required documentation to complete the referral-to-admission process.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
• Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
• Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals.
• Meet short- and long-term target account goals.
• Document the minimum expected number of daily sales calls in the CRM, including pre- and post-call notes.
• Maintain a complete, up-to-date CRM record of targeted referral sources in the territory.
• Attend community events to promote Amedisys.
• Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
