About The Position

Compassus is hiring a Hospice Director of Clinical Services, a Registered Nurse role responsible for overseeing hospice patient and family care and supporting the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). The director supervises care according to each plan of care, monitors its appropriateness, continuity, service, and quality, and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. The position also supports and manages IDT operations, oversees consultation between the Medical Director and IDT members, leads or attends IDT meetings, and processes electronic medical record documentation workflows as needed.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of employment.
• At least three years of healthcare experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience in a nursing facility, home health, or hospice setting.
• Bachelor’s degree; a BSN is a plus.
• Leadership or management experience.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems.
• Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient and family care according to the plan of care, assessing appropriateness, continuity, service, and quality.
• Support and manage the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), including scheduling, productivity, mentoring and monitoring, one-on-one meetings, pay practices, and timekeeping.
• Oversee the consultative process between the Medical Director and members of the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulatory rules and regulations.
• Attend or lead Interdisciplinary Team meetings.
• Process electronic medical record documentation workflows as needed.
