About The Position

Cape Fear Valley Hospice, part of LHC Group and the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Home and Community Bases Services Aide (Hospice CNA) to provide support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household functions for individuals to remain in their own homes. This is a full-time position involving in-home visits for hospice patients. The role requires travel within Cumberland, Hoke, and Robeson counties to provide patient care. Requirements

Current North Carolina CNA certification
Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation
For in-home aides not listed on the nurse aide registry, must have verification of core competencies by a registered nurse.

Nice To Haves

Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
6+ months of home care experience
Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
