About The Position
Cape Fear Valley Hospice, part of LHC Group and the Optum family, is seeking an Afterhours CNA Hospice professional for a full-time position in Fayetteville, NC. This role involves providing support, personal hygiene assistance, and household functions to enable individuals to remain in their homes. The position requires Home and Facility visits for hospice patients, with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM. Travel is necessary within Cumberland, Hoke, and Robeson counties. Requirements
- Current North Carolina CNA certification
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation
- For in-home aides not listed on the nurse aide registry, must have verification of core competencies by a registered nurse.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
- 6+ months of home care experience
- Ability to work flexible hours and independently
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
- Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
- Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
- Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
