About The Position

BAYADA Hospice is hiring a per diem Spiritual Counselor to provide visits in Washington County, Vermont. The position is part of an experienced hospice care team that provides assessments, education, and symptom management related to end-of-life care. The counselor supports the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and their families and contributes to bereavement services. Hospice or care experience and experience making home visits are preferred. The position requires travel within the office's coverage area. Base pay is $28–$32 per hour, depending on qualifications and subject to negotiation.

Requirements

• One year of experience in a spiritual counseling capacity in a health care setting, preferably hospice or palliative care.
• Willingness to travel within the office's coverage area.

Nice To Haves

• Master of Divinity degree.
• At least one unit of CPE.
• Hospice or care experience.
• Experience making home visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adhere to each client's spiritual care plan.
• Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and family members.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Be reliable and punctual and demonstrate an appropriate attitude.
• Participate in providing bereavement services to family members, referral sources, and the community.
