About The Position

AccentCare is hiring a full-time Hospice Aide/CNA serving the Austin coverage area, with a Monday through Friday schedule and pay of $18.00–$22.00. The role provides compassionate, hands-on hospice care to patients in their homes or care facilities, supporting personal care, comfort, mobility, and daily living while protecting patients’ safety and dignity. The work involves frequent movement and physical activity and requires adapting to varying home and facility conditions while following infection-control and safety protocols.

Requirements

• State certification as a nurse’s aide, including completion of required training and a score of at least 85% on the agency’s competency exam; additional credentials vary by state.
• CPR certification for direct patient care in Georgia and Washington.
• Listing on the state aide registry with a clear record and eligibility to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and state-required auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care to hospice patients, including personal hygiene, repositioning, and mobility support.
• Assist patients who may require lifting of up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Support patients in homes or care facilities through frequent movement and physical activity, including walking, standing, reaching, and occasional driving.
• Monitor patients’ comfort levels, respond to their needs, and assist with activities of daily living while maintaining safety and dignity.
• Adapt to varying environmental conditions, including temperature changes, moderate noise, and standard healthcare exposures.
• Follow infection-control and safety protocols.
