About The Position
The Hospice Aide provides support, personal hygiene assistance, and help with household functions so an individual can remain in their own home. The role supports patients and provides comfort through each stage of their health journey, with care tailored to patients’ needs. The position requires working in clients’ homes and responding to their needs while maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete certification within 90 days of hire.
- At least 6 months of home care experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours and independently.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders.
- Support household tasks and meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
- Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use the EVV system.
- Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
- Function in any home situation regardless of the client’s age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
