About The Position

Orkin is hiring a sales professional to provide homeowners with termite and pest protection recommendations. The role combines comprehensive home inspections with customer consultations, customized service plans, and sales follow-up. Orkin provides award-winning training, and pest control experience is not required. Compensation includes base pay and commissions, with average first-year earnings stated as $75,000 to $100,000 or more and uncapped commission potential. The position includes a company vehicle and gas card, paid training, and opportunities for career development and advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently in the field while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license or certification if required; training and licensing costs are covered.
• Meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations, including safely using a ladder within its manufacturer's weight capacity, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and accessing crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, and rooftops.
• Ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Willingness to work in different types of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to conduct comprehensive interior and exterior home inspections.
• Identify termite activity, pest concerns, and conditions that may increase risk.
• Explain inspection findings and recommended solutions to customers.
• Design customized protection plans based on each customer's needs.
• Build trust through professional consultations and customer service.
• Follow up on company-provided leads and generate referral opportunities.
• Prepare service agreements and documentation using company technology.
• Manage schedules and sales pipelines to achieve personal income and performance goals.
