About The Position

Orkin is hiring a Home Services Inspector to sell termite protection and other pest management solutions to homeowners. The position combines field inspections, customer consultation, and sales. The inspector conducts 360-degree inspections of homes, including areas such as attics and crawlspaces, then recommends practical solutions based on the customer's needs and issues found. Orkin provides training, leads, sales tools, a company vehicle, and opportunities to grow and earn performance recognition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license or certification if required; the company pays for it.
• Ability to work independently in the field and interact with customers.
• Meet physical job requirements and safely perform job duties, with or without accommodations.
• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Safely access crawlspaces, attics, confined spaces, and rooftops; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Wear personal protective equipment, which may sometimes include an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Willingness to work in different types of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Understand Orkin’s termite protection services and make strategic recommendations to customers.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections of customers’ homes, including interiors, exteriors, attics, and crawlspaces.
• Prospect for new business and follow up on assigned leads to achieve sales goals.
• Schedule sales appointments and meet with potential customers in their homes to explain Orkin’s products and services.
• Listen to customers’ needs, answer questions, explain the process, and set expectations.
• Prepare sales agreements using a company-provided iPad.
• Build trusted customer relationships and help protect homes and families.
