About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor directs the clinical activities of assigned clinicians at a company location, plans clinical services for clients, and works with employees to ensure services meet professional standards of practice. The position reports to the Area Manager and is qualified to act as the Area Manager during a short-term absence. This is a full-time, in-office role scheduled Monday through Friday, with participation in an on-call rotation. Client care may take place in individual homes and other community settings.

Requirements

Currently hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota; the license must not have been revoked or suspended.
Provide proof of negative TB testing through a Mantoux skin test, a single TB blood test, or a chest x-ray.
Have access to a dependable automobile for travel to multiple company business stops each day.
Hold a valid driver’s license and provide proof of current car insurance when using a personal vehicle for company business.
Have U.S. citizenship or evidence of a valid Alien Work Permit.
Disclose convictions and criminal history related to the provision of health services; candidates convicted of such crimes will not be hired.
Pass initial and ongoing background studies and screenings, including Minnesota Department of Health and Federal Office of the Inspector General List of Excluded Individuals and Entities screenings.
Have at least two years of experience in a health care facility or home care field.
Demonstrate critical thinking, ability to follow standards and procedures, and sound clinical judgment to provide safe and effective client care.
Work independently, adapt to change, manage varied assignments, set priorities, and complete necessary duties.
Build and maintain professional relationships.
Have excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal communication, and teaching skills.
Have basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software programs.

Nice To Haves

Home health care experience preferred.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Outlook preferred.
Current CPR certification highly recommended.

Responsibilities

Ensure client care follows established care guidelines, plans of care, physician and non-physician practitioner orders, agency policies and procedures, and insurance and payer requirements.
Manage daily clinical operations of the branch to provide quality-assured, cost-effective, compliant care efficiently.
Plan, direct, and participate in client care, including case assignment, delegation, case conferencing, medical supply orders, and visit scheduling.
Mentor and supervise staff and hold them accountable for role responsibilities, competencies, performance, and goals.
Ensure staff recruitment, onboarding, supervision, evaluation, training, assignment, and discharge follow company policies and procedures.
Provide oversight and guidance on communicable disease management for clients and employees.
Monitor and evaluate client care and outcome data and implement continuous quality improvement processes.
Provide clinical oversight, education, orientation, and training to licensed clinicians, office personnel, and unlicensed personnel.
Review clinical record documentation for compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
Communicate and coordinate clinical care needs between clinicians and the office.
Lead multidisciplinary clinical meetings and case conferences.
Participate in the after-hours on-call process to ensure care policies and procedures are followed and staffing issues are resolved.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, community resources, insurance companies, and payers.
