About The Position
Residential Home Health and Hospice is hiring a Phlebotomist to provide home health services to patients in Elmhurst and the surrounding area. The role involves traveling to patients' homes within an assigned territory and working independently while coordinating with the care team. The position is 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Certification in Phlebotomy.
- High school diploma or certificate.
- Minimum one year of healthcare experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to spend approximately 20% of the workday driving to and from patient locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform peripheral blood draws in accordance with physician orders while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and professionalism.
- Communicate laboratory collection updates and report patient results promptly and accurately to the Registered Nurse and care team.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, communicate effectively with the care team, and maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.
- Travel to patient homes within the assigned territory.
